Grotto of virgin Mary commissioned at St.Lazarus catholic church








The catholic bishop of Owerri archdiocese his grace AJV Obinna on Monday 27th of July, commissioned the newly built saint Lazarus catholic chaplaincy, Owerri correction office secretariat and the grotto of virgin Mary at the church premises. 

 According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, the ribbon was cut at exactly 4.00 pm and the sculptural grotto of mother Mary was blessed as the congregation are encouraged to visit the site for their prayer petitions so that she can intercede on their prayers and this is the picture of the grotto at night

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
