Suspected kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, otherwise known as Evans and five others  were arraigned at Lagos state High Court today before Justice Hakeem Oshodi  on two-count charges bordering on kidnapping.   Evans, Amadi and Nwachukwu pleaded guilty to the count charges, While Izuchukwu, Ifeanyi, and Chukwunomso pleaded not guilty.  The Attorney General of Lagos state, Adeniji Kazeem who led the prosecution asked for a trial date and all defendants to be remanded in prison custody.  But after due deliberation Justice Oshodi ordered that all defendants be remanded  at the Kirikiri maximum prison Apapa and adjourned further proceedings till 19th, October 2017. Counsel to Evans, Olukoya Ogungbeje had no objections to the Attorney General’s request for adjournment but he told the court that he has had no access to his client in detention.

A cold room owner was shot dead by armed robbers at Onumonu street in the capital of Imo state Owerri.  After the robbery incident took place the man was rushed to federal medical centre Owerri but died along the way after loosing much blood.

This truck conveying plank wood had a break failure and tumbled at Ugwu Okinta nkwo stream in Emekuku town,  Owerri North Local Government Area in Imo state, located along Owerri-Umu Ahia express road. The driver of the truck and two other persons with him sustained varrious degrees of injuries and were rushed immediately to an unidentified hospital for treatment.

The Iri ji Mbaise 2017 cultural festival was held at Chioma Ajunwa's Arena at Ahiazu Mba ise Local Government Area in Imo state. Entire Mbaise sons and daughters of Mbaise clan were traditionally dressed, it is an annual event which cultural dance group from Mbaise like the Abigbo cultural dance group and other high life musicians are there to thrill the multitude. A  t hree story building collapsed in Owerri , it happened exactly 4.00 AM on sunday morning and six persons were rescued with varrious degree of injuries, four died instantly .   T hey were take n to Imo state Emergence unit  at fire service for treatment . The three story building is located opposite Owerri Urban police station in Imo state capital Owerri beside G overnment T echnical College football field.  I t was built before 1990 and was used  as shop for selling of live stocks feeds .  They buil ding collapse was caused by the vibration from construction equipment used by Imo state Government that is constructing the access road in th at street.       T he I mo state Governor his Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha ordered that the twin building should be bulldozed because of its dilapidated nature to avoid such incident again and will investigat e the reason behind the building collapse through Owerri Capital ...

Douglas road is situated in the capital city of Imo state Owerri. It is a major link to streets and towns in other Local Government Areas of  Imo state  and  people traveling to Aba pass through Douglas road .  There is a major regular market at Douglas road called Ekeonunwa as well as a Plaza  and St.Paul Catholic Church is situated at  Douglas road .  Traffic jam always occur at Douglas road due to touts loading their vehicles and  hawkers selling along the street. The condition of the road is very poor as well  dangerous for motorist applying Douglas route because is their a big pot hole in front of Ekeonunwa market .  Your Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha  please rescue Douglas road in Imostate .    

The Imo state deputy governor Prince Eze akonobi Madumere free holiday lesson was launched at Ikenegbu Girls Secondary School Owerri for students who are from the three senatorial zone  of Imo state . It is a programme which the deputy governor considered to be necessary in other to keep the students busy during the long vacation and to commiserate with the vision of Imo state governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha the commander of free education and the peoples governor then advised students to make use of the opportunity in improving their academic performance and  they should shun cultism .  The deputy governor was represented by Hon.
