Condition of Douglas road in Owerri



Douglas road is situated in the capital city of Imo state Owerri.
It is a major link to streets and towns in other Local Government Areas of  Imo state  and  people traveling to Aba pass through Douglas road . 
There is a major regular market at Douglas road called Ekeonunwa as well as a Plaza  and St.Paul Catholic Church is situated at  Douglas road . 
Traffic jam always occur at Douglas road due to touts loading their vehicles and  hawkers selling along the street.
The condition of the road is very poor as well  dangerous for motorist applying Douglas route because is their a big pot hole in front of Ekeonunwa market . 
Your Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha  please rescue Douglas road in Imostate .

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
