IMSU electricity transformer vandalized


The Imo state University hostel located at Ohazara  street along Imo state University back gate in Aladinma Housing Estate Owerri. 
Which was constructed and donated by NDDC under the administration of former Governor of Imo state His Excellency Ikedi Ohakim and the hostel has not been utilized by students of Imo state university  since it was built and has always been empty only left under the watch of security men. Which made students to live in private hostels which cost between Ninety Thousand Naira to One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira for a self contain hostel for one year excluding their school fees,textbooks and other logistics.   
The hostel transformer was vandalized on Saturday night  according to an eye witness report who spoke in anonymity said even the closest transformer was vandalized three times yet nobody was able to identify the culprits in the neighbourhood and there is still policemen who guard the community as well as individuals who are employed under the payroll of Imo state University as security men. 
The Imo state university management lead by Prof.(Mrs) Adaobi Obasi is yet to react to the situation report.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Emeka asked their fans to keep supporting them and the should expect more new movies from them soon Nkotonko reloaded will be released. but the issue of Nkotonko been involved in rituals killings or armed robbery which was seen on the social media they are all false information to tarnish the personality and Image of the actor in the society.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
