Kegites club mark 25years silver jubilee



The Kegites club international in conjunction with Imo / Abia council hemisphere celebrates its 25 years silver jubilee anniversary with its annual 2017 world gyration at the executive garden hotel in Owerri Imo state. 

Chairman of kegites club international Imo / Abia council of elders Oparaku Obiyo Chief Ala Owerri and other chiefs like chief Empireo Iwuala  other entities, LSF’s, AB’s, were present to mark the 25years silver jubilee and 2017 world gyration but former S.A to the Imo state Governor on entertainment Hon. Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
