9TH,Imo State House Of Assembly Members Inaugurated

The 9th Imo state House of Assembly elected members have taking oath of allegiance and been inaugurated at the house of assembly complex by chief justice of the state Barrister Pascal Nnadi situated at new Owerri, which was witnessed by the deputy governor Gerald Irona who represented the governor his excellency Rt.Honorable Emeka Ihedioha. 

During the event, the deputy governor delivered the key note address and promise to harmonize the working relationship between the legislature and the executives.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
