Hon.Chiji Collins emerge speaker of 9TH House of Assembly Imo state

Hon.Chiji Collins have emerged speaker Imo state House of Assembly although he defected from the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to Peoples Democratic Party he is from Isi-Mbano Local Government Area in Okigwe zone Imo state.

He was nominated by Honorable Lawman Duruji and seconded by Kennedy Ibe .

 While Okey Onyekamma was elected as the Deputy speaker Imo state House of Assembly, he was nominated by Anyadike Nwosu and seconded by Onwudiwe Uju .

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
