INEC bow to federal high court verdict, present certificate of return to Rochas Okorocha

Formal Governor of Imo state Owelle Rochas Okorocha who was not granted permit inside the red chambers of the National Assembly at exactly 9.00 am, as the elected 107 senators out of 109 members were been inaugurated and a secret ballot system was used to elect their principal leaders into various key positions which the all progressive congress elected senators emerged the senate president and the deputy senate president . 



But due to an allegation leveled on him by Imo West senatorial returning officer Prof.Innocent Ibeawuchi, who accused Rochas Okorocha of put his life in bondage by his agents as he was held under hostage and the result was declared by the electoral returning officer under duress, which the federal high court Abuja vindicated Owelle as the authentic winner and ordered the independent electoral commission to issue him a certificate of return which was been presented to him at exactly 6.14 pm at INEC head quarters in Abuja. Although Owelle Rochas Okorocha won 9 out of 12 local government area in Orlu zone.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
