RT.Hon.Emeka Ihedioha gives umu-Agwo polytechnic a fresh breath of hope

Imo state governor his excellency RT.Honorable Emeka Ihedioha during his inaugural speech on 29th of May 2019 at Dan Anyiam stadium in Owerri, promise to restore the known glorious days of education in Imo state through taking appropriate measures in retraining and motivation of teachers as well revival of technical schools to ensure that his administration achieve the qualitative education. 

The SSG of Imo state Uche Onyeagocha who represented the governor issued a statement that the renamed umu-Agwo polytechnic to Imo state university agriculture and technology by the formal administration of Owelle Rochas Okorocha which was relocated to Ehime Mbano have been reverted to what it has been known as umu-Agwo polytechnic and were immediately ordered to commence academic activities as Dr.Paddy Njoku was appointed the acting Rector of the institution while the formal vice chancellor proceeded on a terminal leave as students and staffs of the institution thanked the Imo state governor expressed for his good gesture and prayed that God will help him to achieve his vision for the state as fresh breath encroached into umu-Agwo polytechnic
.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
