Check out the high lights of Ada Ekwema 2019 beauty pageant

Ada Ekwema beauty pageant is a programme organized by harmony theatre group, which was supported by Owerri community assembly (OCA) to elevate the Oru-festival and it's cultural heritage from the founding father of Owerri known as Ekwem Arugo. Whose history is traced from Uratta to Ugwu Ekwema where he had a meal with his children and to mark the celebration of their freedom with yam, which is known as Oru-Owerri.

It is a cultural exhibition of traditional attires, English, out-fit, dance steps and show case of back ground educational knowledge of Owerri nchi-ise autonomous community from the ada Ekwema beauty contestants . 

The contestants are six in number 

 1. Minian Chika Ngoka
2. Okereke Bianca 
3. Okoro Uloma Stella
4. Oparanozie Akunna Mary Jane
5. Oparanozie Chiamaka Mary Claret
6. Ehirim Olivia Millian

It was held at Oha Owerre hall at Tetlow road in Owerri Municipal Local Government Area Imo state.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Emeka asked their fans to keep supporting them and the should expect more new movies from them soon Nkotonko reloaded will be released. but the issue of Nkotonko been involved in rituals killings or armed robbery which was seen on the social media they are all false information to tarnish the personality and Image of the actor in the society.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
