Heart Land FC commence screening exercise at Dan-Anyiam stadium in Owerri

Nigerian professional league football club Heart Land FC of Owerri, have commenced an open camp screening exercise of players for the 2019 / 2020 league season at Dan-Anyiam stadium in Owerri, which will kick-off on the 22nd of August 2019.

According to the players who came for the screening, it started on the 12th of August 2019 and no provisional invitation was given to any player so it is an open camp, most of the players are from football clubs in Imo state.

Although the first screening first exercise were carried out early in the morning between 8.00 am which lasted until 12.00 pm. Each set or group were given 40 mins to 45mins as the screening committee watch to pick the right players for the team.

The second screening exercise started by 4.00pm and stopped by 6.00 pm. It will be a one week screening exercise as players and football scouts were seen inside the stadium.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
