Ejike Igwe won the best player award of umu-Akuru 2019 soccer unity cup tournament

Ejike Igwe have emerged the winner of umu-Akuru 2019 soccer unity cup best player of the tournament. 

 It was announced by the organizing committee chairman of umu-Akuru soccer unity cup tournament Arinze Irechukwu and the award was presented to him by Mr.Francis Ejiogu before the commencement of the umu-Akuru nations cup opening match between South Africa versus Tunisia.

Ejike who played as a supporting striker for Group C in the 2019 umu-Akuru soccer unity cup is now playing Tunisia in nations cup.    

He is humble,soft spoken in speech and disciplined  respects every decisions taking by the referee during the duration of game, although did not record any goal in his name before the conclusion of umu-Akuru unity cup soccer tournament.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
