umu-Akuru 2019 unity nations cup

umu-Akuru 2019 unity nations cup kicked off on Sunday 11TH of August 2019, at community secondary Emekuku Owerri north local government in Imo state. 

It was just barely three weeks the unity cup soccer tournament ended and the nations cup commenced immediately. 

The nations cup is made of five teams bearing the names of African countries that are participating in the soccer competition they are Nigeria, Tunisia, South Africa, Ivory Coast and Ghana. 

All matches to take place only on Saturday and Sunday at the venue.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
