Dr.Joe Obinjoku's corpse laid down with a val
The burial ceremony of late Dr.Joseph Obinjoku, was held on Saturday 15th of August 2020, at his villa residence in Ihuobokwe Uzoagba. Jones is a devoted catholic, a farmer and he is the only son in their family.
He has meritoriously served Imo state government, since 1992 to 2013, with his educational background and his leadership strength in Ikeduru local government, Joe became a Councillor and rose to the position of commissioner of health under Owelle Rochas Okorocha and contested as a governorship aspirant under the platform of All Progressive Grande Alliance (APGA) in 2019.
His death attracted who is who in Nigeria despite the coronavirus pandemic ravaging the world and Drizzlersnews reporter, who was there, said the church service was held at saint Joseph catholic church Uzoagba and it was conducted by bishop Moses Chikwe, with other priests, but the governor of Imo state, who was represented by the deputy governor Placid Njoku, who read the condolence message from Imo state governor Hope Uzodinma, as some dignitaries and groups came to console Obinjoku's family over the death of their father, despite their political affiliation, but they were present to witness his burial ceremony as some of the state house of assembly members of Ikeduru and Owerri North Uche Ogbuagu as well Philip Ejiogu, were present.
His first son Obinna Joseph Obinjoku, who is a medical doctor, thanked all who came to sympathize with their family and promise to ensure that their father's legacies on earth is sustained, which he val on God's altar and before Moses Chikwe, through the cooperation of the church that his father's foundation will continue to alleviate people from poverty by maintaining the educational programme, which he started from various secondary schools in their constituency in Ikeduru local government area.
