Tears flows in umuakuru Emekuku, as a young man was publicly stripped naked tied with palm leaves for committing

 

Youths of umuakuru Emekuku, in akaliukwu autonomous community, Owerri-North local government area in Imo state, on Saturday, 22nd of August, 2020, by 9.00 am, in the morning, was seen with  a young man stripped half naked and paraded on bare feet from Nkwoemeke market square to umuakuru hall, with tears of mockery and anger on the faces of the crowd watching from their different standing location to know what was actually going on. 

Although some of the top executive officials of umuakuru youth organization, was in the crowd, when all this things was going on,  but some passerby's thought it was a cult or a fighting related issue, because it is not the common way of punishing offenders in their community.

But according to the report, received by the Drizzlersnews, the young man paraded in the community, was accused of committing incest in the community, he defiled and impregnated her twelve years old cousin from the same family in umuakuru community and the girl's name and her surname have been withheld, as the girl was said to be three months pregnant, after a medical examination was carried out, as the young man was identified as Obinna Ariri was said to be responsible for the pregancy of her cousin and the only punishment given to him was flogging, as the girl's psychological trauma was swept under the carpet, so that the law will not take it's course on the offender, as the girl is said to be an orphan.
