6.9 magnititude earth quake renders 20,000 persons homeless in Indonesia

6.9 shallow earth quake have hit Lombok island in Indonesia as more than twenty thousand persons have been rendered homeless several building's were destroyed in the course of the disaster and death toll has risen to one hundred and five as two hundred and thirty six persons were injured which has triggered panic in the country.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
