Former majority leader Imo state house of assembly escape Amawom youth lynch

The former Imo state house of assembly majority leader honorable Lugard Osuji an ambassador of honorable Ugwumba Uche Nwosu campaign movement, who is the representative of Owerri Municipal Local Government area at IMHA.  

Honorable Lugard Osuji escaped been lynched on Wednesday at Nwodo street in Owerri Municipal Local Government area by Amawom youth organization in Owerri Nichi-ise  autonomous community during his consultation visitation to declare his second term ambition to contest for the house of assembly seat. 

According to an eye witness report who spoke in anonymity said honorable Lugard Osuji supported and signed for the demolition of Eke-Ukwu Owerri market,  moved the motion for the impeachment of Imo state Deputy Governor prince Eze Mmadumere and moved another motion for the creation of autonomous community in Owerri nichi-ise autonomous community which the community said does not exist and then he declared his total support to Owelle Rochas Okorocha son in-law honourable Ugwumba Uche Nwosu which triggered the anger of the youths who were carrying stones and other dangerous weapons on seeing them he ran into his awaiting vehicle with his broom and there was no blood bath neither was there clash his supporters and honourable Obinna Mbata's supporters the present commissioner of finance the youths rejected total support for All Progressive Congress (APC) and warned that nobody should vote for APC.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
