Imo state Governor-elect Emeka Ihedioha said impunity among the People's Democratic party executives have led the party to 8years loss in the general elections in Nigeria, because so many of our members engage themselves in anti party activities.  But immediately our problems are dictated we called for the review of the People's Democratic party constitution which led to the removal of PDP national chairman Ali Modu Sheriff before the installation of the acting national chairman of PDP Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi.  Emeka charged the party national chairman Uche Secondus and other members of the party to remain resolute to the PDP constitution in accordance with the rule law as defined in the democratic system of government.   

People's Democratic party Imo state chairman Barrister Charles Babatunde Ezekwem have thank God for using him and other executives of the party to deliver PDP as well make history with them in Imo state because the victory was signed,sealed and delivered. In his speech Charles warned People's Democratic party members and charged them to work effectively with the governor elect Emeka Ihedioha to deliver the dividend of democracy in Imo state in the next 4years because their are very high expectations from the masses who voted for him, every political sycophancy and blackmails against the governor elect will be a set back in his administration.   In his responds Emeka Ihedioha promise to work with party executives to ensure that the state is transformed.

On the 9th of March 2019 the Governorship election was held in Benue state. According to the report issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer Professor Maimako Sebastian declared the election inconclusive and supplementary election was fixed on the 23rd of March 2019 . Polling unit 008 at Imo state university voting commenced by 9.00 am as students and staffs of the university were on a queue to cast their votes for the choice of their candidates in the Governorship and State house of Assembly.  At exactly 12.00 pm, People's Democratic Party agent (PDP) raised complaint of double voting to the presiding officer of polling unit 008 who pretended not to see them and never worried to verify their identity with the card reader because they have taken bribe from an Action Alliance agent and with the aid of an Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ad-hoc staffs and there were very few security agents deployed for the election in the Imo state university environment.
