Imo state youths celebrate elected Governor Emeka Ihedioha in Owerri Municipal L.G.A





The 9th of March 2019 memory is not yet over in Imo state,when the Governorship and State house of Assembly elections were held as the People's Democratic Party Governorship candidate Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha emerged the winner of the election with 273,404 votes ahead of his closest opponent under Action Alliance (AA) Ugwumba Uche Nwosu had 180,364 votes,who is been supported by the Imo state Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha. 


Many have been sending their congratulatory messages through various media but youths of Imo state were seen at exactly 12.00pm in their large number jubilating from Okigwe road to the Imo state Government house around about as commuters and other road users waited patiently for them to move on but indicated a sign of support for the new Government of PDP and it's return back to Imo state with a thumb up as the wait for the formal handover on 29th May 2019.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Emeka asked their fans to keep supporting them and the should expect more new movies from them soon Nkotonko reloaded will be released. but the issue of Nkotonko been involved in rituals killings or armed robbery which was seen on the social media they are all false information to tarnish the personality and Image of the actor in the society.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
