St.Lazarus catholic chaplaincy Owerri federal prisons tuesday adoration ends in sorrow






St.Lazarus catholic chaplaincy Owerri federal prisons service,Tuesday adoration 16th of April,2019, ended in sorrow at exactly 8.55pm when the parish priest of St.Lazarus catholic chaplaincy was laying-out programs for the congregation to the mark holy week activity and announced that the Galilee experience will take place on  Easter Monday 22nd of April 2019, at 5.00pm.  Which will be an opportunity for the laity to ask any question on the resurrection of Jesus Christ  suddenly shouting started "Jesus" "Jesus" "Jesus"  from the right wing section of the up-stair in the church where people were sitting on getting there a man was seen laying on the floor shaking and holding firmly a 2.4mm red wire which was connected with the halogen bulb to supply light inside the church as people sitting close to him saw that he has been electrocuted by a naked wire as they rushed with plastic seats hitting his hand to remove it from the naked wire but the effort finally was successful and it was discovered that spat foams were coming out from his mouth and blood was gushing out from his ears still unconscious as well breathing a little kept at the front door of the chapel and been resuscitated as well examined by the parish priest with prayers before he was rushed to a private hospital at Okigwe road close to prisons as his relatives where been contacted over the situation his name is not known yet. But two weeks ago a parishioner who was attending same adoration had an accident and still at FMC Owerri with with broken leg hanged in the hospital.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
