Imo State police command to launch operation puff adder


Imo state commissioner of police Rabiu Ladodo on the 30th of April 2019 to launch operation adder at the police head quarters in Owerri by 10.00am. 

It will tackle against the societal vices of kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, and other violent crimes with professionalism as he appealed to the general public to cooperate with them to ensure that the achieve a free crime society in Imo state.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
