Flight operation resume again as Air Peace arrive by 5pm at Sam Mbakwe international cargo airport




Imo state federal airport authority staffs and non staffs were relieved from the hitherto of the fire incident that affected the arrival terminal of Sam Mbakwe international cargo airport by 2.00pm, especially airport drivers and food vendors were busy thanking God that no life was lost except some official documents and offices that were destroyed by the fire.  But doubts arose among them during their discussions what would be the cause of the fire incident and flight operations would be suspended pending when the combined inspection team of FAAN from Abuja will come to ascertain the extent of damages. 

But there were so many military personnel's with government officials who were been taking around to see the extent of damages and customers were waiting for their scheduled flight at the departure terminal as air peace landed at the Sam Mbakwe international cargo airport Owerri at exactly 5.00pm and they were received at the VIP lounge wing at the airport entrance.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
