A trailer lost control and rammed on awaiting parked taxi at IMSU junction


At exactly 3pm yesterday at Imo state university junction round about by Okigwe road a trailer rammed on awaiting taxi car park and several cars were damaged as  injured victims were rushed to the closest hospitals for treatment. 

The trailer accident was traced to have been caused by a break failure, but the drivers and touts of that illegal park who are only interested to get the money and put the life of passengers at risk without taking cognizance of their system of parking cars especially when loading their taxi, which have always caused traffic jam on that Okigwe road axis as the traffic wardens who were posted at the IMSU junction round about to ensure smooth traffic vehicular movement are bribed by the touts to over look things so that the could do their business and sometimes do not worry themselves if the go to work or not, rather the traffic wardens look for places the could do illegal jobs to get money once their boss is settled to ensure the get the right posting.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
