Wind and hailstones wrecked havoc at Ubowalla Emekuku in Owerri North L.G.A Imo state

A devastated wind with heavy hailstones destroyed building roofs and cash crops in
farms at Ubowalla Emekuku in Azara-Ubo autonomous community Owerri
North local government area in Imo state.



Many families were stranded and farmers have speculated that their will be scarcity of food next year.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
