Three Owerri-North constituency state house of assembly contestants,Dr.Anthony Ihedoro (APC), Henry Obinna Chima (UPP) and Paddy Obinna (AA), who participated in 


 


the 2019 general election, despite been defeated in the election, have synergize their support to the elected state of assembly member, honorable Philip Ejiogu, as they were present to witness the commission of two constituency projects unveiled at Nkwo-emeke market square in Owerri-North, by PDP secretary Nze Ray Emeana with the APC house of assembly majority leader honorable Uche Ogbuagu and as well eulogize Philip, who celebrated his birthday with a church service at Immaculate conception parish Emekuku, on the 11th of September 2020.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
