Owerri-North state house of assembly representative, Hon.Philip Ejiogu set new constituency project record - Nze Ray Emeana


Imo state people's democratic party secretary, Nze Ray Emeana have commended the Owerri-North constituency  state house of assembly member, Hon.Philip Ejiogu for given an effective representation to Owerri-North local government area in the Imo state house of assembly.

     As Ray appealed to the people of Owerri-North to continue to give PDP their support because when Rt.Hon.Emeka Ihedioha was the governor of Imo state, he did a lot of reformation in the state, before he was removed through the supreme court and ask the people of Emekuku to enjoy it now that their son, Philip Ejiogu is on sit at the state house of assembly, from his report  he said " I have been looking for who to hand over to since i got into the state house assembly and now that Philip is there he has started very well with his constituency projects in his home town Emekuku and likewise in other places in the constituency  by saying  

 

Eji 'eshi uyo mara mma ofo na ama by building a toilet, opening a borehole water scheme, empowering women, carrying out a health and eye check up, then carrying out coronavirus pandemic awareness and sharing of palliatives as all these happened at Nkwoemeke market square on the 11th of September 2020 and appealed to the people to be patient that the project will transit to other various places in our local government".


    Hon.Philip Ejiogu is the deputy minority leader in the 9th assembly and the committee chairman on education as well other sub-committees.

Nkotonko music drama actors Omalicha and Akuebe in movie audition

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
