Nze Joseph Agor declare interest to contest for Imo state house of assembly 2023

 

Former Owerri transition committee chairman, under Owerri municipal local government council, Nze Joseph Agor, have declared his interest to contest for the state house of assembly seat, under Owerri municipal constituency in the 2023 general election. 

From the report received by the Drizzlersnews, Joseph Agor said " I have the intention to contest for the federal house of representative seat in 2023, but God said i should join the race for the state house of assembly and i have a better vision in making legislative laws that will bring Imo state back to it's glorious day's, what it is known for in the history of Nigeria, especially the capital city of Imo state, Owerri municipal constituency, that i want to represent in the Imo state house of assembly.  But went further to say that he wants to use his political position and experience to serve God as well humanity, then concluded by saying that he was invited by the people's democratic party (PDP) to contest for the Owerri municipal constituency seat, but he rejected the offer because of honorable Solomon Anukam, who have worked so hard to get the necessary victorious support in the 2019 general election and now it is my turn to represent Owerri municipal constituency in the Imo state house of assembly in 2023 general election and so many people testified my abilities in leadership as the transition committee chairman of Owerri municipal local government council, before i was sacked by former governor of Imo state Emeka Ihedioha, who was removed through supreme court judgement and replaced  by the present governor of Imo state Hope Uzodinma, who followed his predecessor to stop them from completing their tenure despite the election conducted by the former governor of Imo state Owelle Rochas Okorocha, which was upheld the appeal court judgement and right now we are awaiting for the supreme court judgement which will come up soon to enable us complete our eight months tenure and after that i will join the race for Owerri municipal constituency seat in 2023". 

Joseph is a member of all progressive congress (APC).

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
