Sports: Diego Maradona pass on to eternal glory

 

    World soccer governing body FIFA, was thrown into mourning and flags,were ordered to be flown at half mast,after the demise of Argentina soccer legend, Diego Armando Maradona was announced by the president of his country Alberto Fernandez and other members of football fraternities, tweeted a condolence message of  confirmation, over his sudden exit,on Wednesday 25TH of November,2020, at the age of sixty years. 

According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, Maradona was admitted in the hospital,because of the discovery of anaemia and dehydration in his skull, which was caused by a subdural haematoma, as a surgical operation was successfully conducted on him and few days after been discharged from the hospital, he died out of heart attack in his home at Tigre. 

In his active playing days, as the captain of Argentina national team, he won the 1986 world cup and will be remembered for his scoring hand of God. 

He has scored a total of thirty four goals out of ninety one appearances for his national team and played four different clubs, which Argentinos junior, Boca junior, Barcelona and Napoli

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
