Sports: Campos F.C won the 2020, Owerri super eight tournament trophy

 


Campos foot ball academy won the 2020 Owerri super eight tournament, after defeating Pakat F.C of Owerri, with

a 3-1 final score in the full time. 

According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, it was played at old township stadium in Owerri, on the 11TH of November 2020. 

From the details of the match, in the half of the game, it was 1-1 draw and the first goal was scored by Campos F.C  and was leveled up by Pakat F.C towards the end of the first half. 

Further reports from fans said the match is a derby match,  and it was extremely seen with alot of rough tackles challenges from both teams and many of the players who played in the match sustained alot of injuries. 

In the second half of game the referee gave a red card to Pakat F.C player for a strong tackle challenge against Campos F.C player and towards the end of the second half two extra goals were scored by Campos F.C players, which made it 3-1 against Pakat F.C. 

From the general analysis it was a 45%-30% ball possession and the officiating centre referee received alot of threat from the players, including fans who said the will beat him up, but at the end of the match the referee was protected from the field to the dressing room not to be touched by anybody.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
