Culture: Ugu-Uzo Emekuku 2020, is fixed on the

 

The historical cultural display of Ugu-Uzo Emekuku, for the year 2020, with it's unique two legs dancing steps and singing pattern, have officially been announced by Oha Emekuku traditional council of elders. 

According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, it was fixed on Tuesday, 10TH of November 2020.  When it will be shared among the eight communities that participate in the culture and the days of their own activity. 

Only two communities in Emekuku, do not participate in the Ugu-Uzo cultural festival and they are Ubowalla, Ubo-Egbelu. But the rest of the eight communities participate in it. They are umu-Akuru, Okwu-Emeke, umu-Ocham, Azara-Owalla, Azara-Egbelu, Akaoloovo, Ezeogba, Ezedibia and all is in Owerri-North local government area in Imo state.  

There are laws stipulated for Ugu-Uzo culture as guiding principles 

1. No fighting 

2. Do not take anybody to court or report any case to the police. 

3. No more burial ceremony 

As the traditional rulers warn youths to desist from any cultism activities, political party affiliations, current end sars protest or IPOB agitations because anybody who goes contrary to these rules during the Ugu-Uzo cultural events, must be handed over to the police, as parents and president generals of every community was asked to speak to their people to avert anybody, who will come  there to cause trouble during the event or better let the person stay at home.

All the guidelines given by the government on the current corona virus pandemic ravaging the world, must be observed during the event.
