Security: A burglar's lifeless body found at Ikenegbu Layout junction by Mbari street in Owerri

 

On the 13TH of November 2020, a lifeless corpse of a young man, was seen covered with a white material, as blood stains and other open wound cuts were seen on his body, before it was removed by environmental health workers, at the intersection junction of Ikenegbu Layout by Mbari street, popularly known as old Maris supermarket junction in Owerri. 

According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, the young man entered a building at Amanze Njoku street, in Aladinma housing estate in Owerri, around 12.00 midnight and stole their phones as well other items, but before a security alert was raised, about the presence of the thief, and while been chased by group of young men living in the estate, he jumped into a demolished building and escaped through the next building close to it. 

But further investigation details revealed that the burglar, went into another building at Ikenegbu Layout to continue his robbery operation, unfortunately he was caught around 3.00 am and was beating to death with different weapons including bottles before he died.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
