Community News: Nkwo-Emeke market sellers, scrabble for safety of life in a rain shelling of bullets

 

Nkwo-Emeke market square, with shops and beer parlor owners, were suddenly shut down to total darkness operation yesterday, at exactly 8.00pm in the night, with several gun shots, released in the thin air, by armed motorcycle robbers on motion, before the zoomed off to Mbaise-umuahia express road.

As people seen were running in the scrabble of life safety in the thick darkness, to avert been killed by stray bullets, but no shop was robbed.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Emeka asked their fans to keep supporting them and the should expect more new movies from them soon Nkotonko reloaded will be released. but the issue of Nkotonko been involved in rituals killings or armed robbery which was seen on the social media they are all false information to tarnish the personality and Image of the actor in the society.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
