Culture: Ugu-Uzo alabalaba night dance galore, thrill youths in Emekuku community

 Ugo-Uzo Emekuku alabalaba night dance galore, was observed on Wednesday 3rd November 2020, as youths trooped out in mass with happiness in groups, from there

different autonomous communities in Emekuku, singing the unwritten historical back grounds of ugu-uzo and tapping their feet with the body movement dancing pattern in merriment, as beer parlors and hotels were rending service to their customers, as Hero premium larger beer and Life continental larger beer were the highest selling brewery brands of beers sold that night at Nkwo-emeke market square and there was no fight nor quarrels seen as security was tightly beefed up.   

But the ugu-uzo festival cultural festival, which is a twenty days event will end on the 7TH of December 2020, after the celebration of pamparapara at Okwu-Emeke community in Akali-Ukwu autonomous community Emekuku.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
