Protest: Imo state beautification city gardeners blocked government house entrance gate in tears


 Imo state beautification city gardeners were seen at the government house entrance gate on the 17TH of December 2020, by 2pm chanting sorrowful songs and insisting to see the state governor Hope Uzodinma or nobody will be allowed to enter or go out from the Imo white house building complex to carry out any administrative duties, as the security men on duty watch motionlessly.

But the protesting gardeners told the Drizzlersnews correspondent that the have not been paid salary for the past four months,from August to November despite their challenges they are still doing their jobs and no food to feed their various hungry families as the cry and beg the governor to pay them.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
