Gossip: A cultist was stabbed with a bottle, on his left side of the eye at Irete




Two rival cult members of Vikings and Black axe confraternity, who engaged each other in a battle of supremacy at Irete in Owerri West local in Imo state, from the report received our correspondent, who do not want his name to be mentioned, said one of them was given a rattle indelible open cut wound on his left eye with a bottle, before he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital and from all medical examination, he might not regain his sight again, as  the identity of the boys were swept under the carpet.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
