Consultations have commenced, between Ubowalla and Ubo-Egbelu in Azara-Ubo autonomous community in Emekuku, for the revival of their lost cultural festival achara-Ubo,which have not been celebrated for decades, due to the coming of christianity and education.

But the only thing that is been celebrated, is only Christmas, of which masquerades and other dancing groups display on afor-ubo market and Ubo-Egbelu market day, which is on orie market day.

According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, there have been clamour from the youths of both communities, calling on the elders to revive the festival of achara ubo,and elders of the communities have charged to figure out, how to do the spiritual incantation rituals of the festival and the only person who knew about the history of achara ubo cultural festival is oha Nwanaeri and he is dead, but the religious leaders in the both communities, have been called to join during the meeting to remove any evil rituals, that is against the faith of the christians, during the achara ubo cultural festival meeting.

According to the youths and spiritual worshiper of onumurukwa, Henry Ohale said once the festival is been celebrated, it will open doors of opportunities for wealth and foster unity of mutual relationship, between the two communities, as well improve a better history education in our children and families.

But the meeting is yet to be fixed and it is speculated that the achara-ubo cultural festival will be held next year march, which might be in a carnival form.
