Njemanze palace split, over Uzodinma's chieftaincy title
The chieftaincy title, given to the Imo state governor, his excellency distinguish senator Hope Uzodinma, by the traditional rulers of Owerri nchi-ise autonomous community, as high chief Onwa Owerri nchi-ise, have raised alot of dust and split the Njemanze the royal
palace, as an elder states man Bob Njemanze openly criticized it, when it was announced by the deputy governor of Imo state professor Placid Njoku, at the grand finale of Oru Owerri at Ugwu Ekwema.He said " The title of Onwa,given to the Imo state governor Hope Uzodinma, is given by a few section of the people to get his interest and not the entire Owerri nchi-ise, because the successor of late Eze Emmanuel Njemanze, is yet to be coronated and not Eze peter Eze chirikere Njemanze, who acclaimed to be the Ozuruigbo the 6TH", but the microphone was forcefully collected from him, before the deputy governor left.
Since the death of late Eze Emmanuel Njemanze and laid to eternal rest on 10TH of June 2010, there have been lobbying and consultations going on, to find the next successor, for the traditional ruler of Owerri nchi-ise autonomous community.
