A fatal accident occurred at Akaolovo Emekuku





A fatal accident occurred this evening on the 19th of May 2020, around 9.00 pm, at Akaolovo Emekuku in Owerri -North local government in Imo state. 

 According to the report by the Drizzlersnews, through eye witness report, he said it occurred close to Okwy Ben filling station and it is a Toyota Camry and a Volvo that collided, but did not state what caused the accident. 

 The accident victims were rescued by a quick intervention from Akaolovo community youths and others around, who used an axe to destroy vehicles and rescued the victims. 

 From the accident scene report no death causalities were recorded, but the victims were quickly rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
