Imo state discharge COVID-19 patient - Prof.Maurice Iwu



Imo state COVID-19 taskforce committee chairman professor Maurice Iwu have confirmed the discharge of
coronavirus patient from the isolation in Owerri. 

 According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, PTF chairman Imo state disclosed this to pressmen when association of medical laboratory scientist of Nigerian Imo state chapter paid him a courtesy call and donated two hundred vials of viral transport media (VTM) and thirty-five thousand mils of phenol based hand sanitizers and billboard tips on prevention of coronavirus. 

 Prof.Maurice Iwu thanked the assocaition of laboratory scientist of Nigeria for their support and tasked them to be safety conscious, then went further to disclose that the first index COVID-19 patient in Imo state have been discharged after testing negative to the ailment. But the second patient is still in the isolation centre.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
