Online media practitioners to collaborate with Hope Uzodimma


The special adviser to the governor on electronic and new media, Mrs.Nnaemeka Okafor received the executives of online media practitioners association of Nigeria (OMPAN) Imo state chapter, led by the chairman of the association Ikechukwu Anyanwu at the Imo state government house in Owerri. 


From the report received by the Drizzlersnews, Ikechukwu used the opportunity to congratulate the executive governor of Imo state distinguish senator Hope Uzodimma for the transformation of Imo state to a mega state within the space of 100 days in office, especially in the area of health, security, road projects,employment, payment of salaries and pensions as well disaster management.  Then describe governor Hope as the number one governor in the federation to strategize the cope of ravaging virus in the world known as coronavirus (COVID-19) by providing a well equipped isolation and testing centres in the state, which is been managed by professor Maurice Iwu. 

The chairman of OMPAN told the SA on electronic and new media that the association is ready to contribute it's quota to ensure that this present administration succeeds in the delivery of dividend of democracy and the association have declared war against the spread of fake news and our partnership with the government will help give the public an insight on the activities of the government.  


Mrs Nnaemeka Okafor SA on electronic and new media thanked Chairman of OMPAN Ikechukwu Anyanwu for the visit and promise to ensure that the association is included in the government programs as a 4th estate of the realm.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
