Disaster: Bloody gas explosion, occurred at Ikeja, as unconfirmed number of people died

 

National emergency management agency (NEMA) have confirmed, that a gasoline tanker exploded at Mobolaji bank Anthony way in Ikeji area of Lagos state, on Thursday night, 17TH of June 2021. 

According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, through the NEMA public relations officer, Ibrahim Farinloye, who gave an update about the extent of damages, from his report, four women, nine men, twenty five vehicles, thirteen persons were injured and a duplex building plaza, was damaged, as no occupants of the rented duplex died at the time of the incident occurred, except a boy who was still missing and so far three other staffs of a Chinese restaurant, were confirmed as the manager was identified as Balogun. 

Although the thirteen injured persons are receiving treatment at the Trauma and Burns centre general hospital

Gbagada Lagos state, and it was confirmed by Lagos state commissioner police Hakeem Odumosu, as police is doing it's best to ensure that normalcy is restored at Ikeja.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
