Insecurity: Unknown gunmen subdued by police in Imo state - Bala Elkana

 

The Imo state police public relation officer Bala Elkana, have confirmed that the hoodlums that is terrorizing Owerri, burning the police stations and other government facilities, tagged unknown gunmen, have been shot dead, in a counter repelled attack at the police head quarter. 

According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews, shooting between the bandits and police started at exactly 7.00 am, on Sunday 6TH May 2021, from Douglas road, Tetlow road, Wethedral road, Amakohia and Orji axis. 

Bala in details, revealed that five members of the bandits, have been killed, as they were repelled by the police, while others sustained various degree of injuries,with the security operatives.  

He went further and explained that the bandits used the  access linking road between Works Layout by Avan Nursery and primary school, to enter the police head quarter and they bandits used a bus to carry out their operations, from his report a total of four AK-47 rifles have been recovered from bandits.
