Boko Haram members reinforce for another attack
The Nigerian Police force have arrested five
suspected members of Boko Haram terrorist group at Gayawa area of Ungogo Local
Government Area of Kano State.
According to Kano state Police Commissioner, Rabiu Yusuf, said from
the intelligent report gathered so far they suspects entered Kano with the
intent of attacking places of worship, prominent public spots, some Boko Haram
members who escaped from the Sambisa Forest are regrouping in Kano and some
other northern states.
They suspects were trying to flee before they were confronted
by the police in their hideout, there were exchange of gun battle three
policemen were injured.
But the confessed that they are members of Boko
Haram terrorist group, items recovered
from them include one AK-47 rifle, 49 rounds of ammunition, four magazines,
pieces of improvised explosive devices, two sets of Air Force uniforms.
The police commissioner said the Inspector General
of Police, Ibrahim Idris has set up a special task force to track and arrest
the terrorists group who may be at large but Kano residents are under control .
