Peace Corps of Nigeria thank National Assembly over passage of their bill.




The peace corps of Nigeria Imo state command held a rally match in jubilation carrying placards with the inscription thanking the national assembly members and president Muhammadu Buhari for upholding the hope of the youths of Nigeria despite the challenges they faced but  the bill was passed on the 25th of July 2017 which allows peace corps of Nigeria to be established as a para –military organization and which will also create employment  if established it cannot be forgotten easily in the minds of youths of Nigeria and  now waiting for presidential accent  to be recognized as Nigerian peace corps  . 


According to the Imo state commandant peace corps of Nigeria Patriot Ofoeze Jonathan said the corps have been in existence since 2003 which is barley fifteen years of its existence and have faced challenges for not been recognized by other para-military and military organizations , then no responds from the Imo state government despite letters to sent him for support and if the peace corps of Nigeria is established the issue of kidnapping in schools would have been a thing of the past so calling on Nigerians to give their  support through their prayers so that it will be accented by the president .  


The matched from world bank , wetheral road, Douglas to Imo state government house and they were received by the chief security of Imo state Government House.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
