Lagos state government to relocate computer village



The Lagos State Government met with the executive members of Computer and Allied Products dealers Association of Nigeria (CAPDAN) over its plan to relocate Computer Village from Ikeja to Katangowa. 


The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr Wasiu Anifowose said Lagos State Government did not grant permit to Master Plan Reality International Concept Ltd approval to build an ICT mall beside the newly built Ikeja bus terminal and warned that the state government would not tolerate any attempt to disrupt its plans to relocate the Computer Village. 


The aim is for the state government to achieve urban regeneration plan and increase the housing stock, deploy officers in Ikeja to monitor any illegal development in that area, when they attempt to rent, lease or buy properties to avoid act of fraud.
