Rochas threatened Owerri n’ichi-ise monarchs, Go to Ugwu Ekwema or lose staff of office.






The executive Governor of Imo state Owelle Rochas Okorocha has congratulated Owerri n’ichi-ise autonomous community for their yearly cultural festival, Oru-Owerri festival which was held on the 7th of July 2017. 


Owelle said he heard that the Obiolobi’s and Oha’s agreed after their meeting that nobody should go to Ugwu Ekwema for the Oru –Owerri festival that the celebration should be on internal bases in honour of the late king of Owerri n’ichi-ise H.R.H Late Dr.
Emmanuel Emenyeonu Njemanze (Ozuruigbo the v of Owerri n’ichi-ise ) he asked the royal fathers what is the essence of creating autonomous communities and having you as the leaders with other cabinets under the grass root government of Imo state  and he  beats his chest that Imo state have the best security in the 36 states of Nigeria including FCT  now kidnapping, arm robbery and other vices of criminality is a thing of the past with other projects which is been carried out  by Owelle Rochas Okorocha  administration so charged the Owerri n’ichi-ise royal fathers that Late Dr. Emmanuel Emenyeonu Njemanze will be more honoured if the take their sons and daughters to Ugwu Ekwema for the  Oru-Owerri festival fixed on the 5th of August 2017. 


All threats issued by the youths and so many others are regarded as  enemies of Owerri n’ichi-ise and to the entire Imo state Government, then attacked PDP as been responsible for all the evil vices going on in Imo state and twelve years of PDP administration is a waste.    


Concluded by  calling  the speaker of Imo state house of Assembly  Hon. Acho Ihimi, majority leader of Imo state house of Assembly Hon. Lugard Osuji,  H.R.H Eze Samuel Anyanwu
Ohiri, Imo state Chief of staff Hon. Uche Nwosu  and the Imo state commissioner of police with other security agencies, thanked them for  job well done but then they still have more work to do issued warning that any Eze of Owerri n’ichi-ise  that fails to come to Ugwu Ekwema on the 5th of August 2017, with his people should prepare to lose  his staff of office and Imo state Governor his Excellency  Owelle Rochas Okorocha wants to celebrate with the indigenes of  Owerri n’ichi-ise autonomous community and invited other sons,  daughters of Imo state  and voice of the people is the voice of God.   Owerri Oru!!!

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
