Police arrest three suspected ritualist with human skulls




The Ogun State Police Command arrested three men suspected to be ritualist for being in possession of two human skulls. 


In confirmation of this report the Ogun state police public relation officer, ASP. Abimbola Oyeyemi in his statement said policemen attached to Ayetoro Police Division were on routine patrol along Idagba Olodo road and conducted Search on vehicles with its content two human skulls were discovered in the bag, 
they suspects have been arrested under the custody of Ayetoro Police Station according to interrogation made they confessed that the human skulls were given to them by Jimoh Ijiola who lives in Erinpa area town in Ogun state. 

The Divisional Police Officer, Ayetoro Division CSP Makinde Kayode led detectives to the residence of the suspect who was also arrested and he denied being the person that gave them the skulls saying they all got it from neighboring country Benin Republic their intention was to use it for money rituals.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
