SUPREME COURT DECLARES MAKARFI COMMITTEE LEGAL



The Supreme Court has declared Ahmed Makarfi caretaker committee of the Peoples democratic Party (PDP) legal as Supreme Court panel led by Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour in the judgment ruled that Senator Ali-Modu Sheriff should desist from parading self as the PDP national chairman and ordered Ahmed Makarfi to take over the leadership of the party.  


Senator Sheriff was declared the authentic national chairman of PDP by Appeal Court in February and he was purportedly removed during the party’s national convention held in Port Harcourt and since 21st, of May 2016 both acclaimed leaders of the party have been in loggerhead over the Peoples democratic
Party leadership  as justice have took  its course in Nigeria. 


Members of the peoples democratic party and supporters of Ahamd makarfi leadership described Senator Ali-Modu Sheriff’s faction as agents of darkness, non-PDP members.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
