Hon.Dan Ikpeazu declare for Owerri constituency federal house of representative

The former Owerri -North Imo state house of assembly member honourable Dan Ikpeazu have declared formally at the Owerri-North All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) party secretariat in Awaka to contest for the Owerri constituency federal house of representative position in 2019 general election. 


Dan Ikpeazu said his declaration is the people's mandate and highlighting some of his achievement in the Imo state house of assembly as a representative of Owerri-North include distribution of thirty-two electric transformers, empowered over three hundred youths in ICT training and agricultural scheme, health scheme which eight health workers treated ill-health patients in the twelve wards of Owerri North also distributed three thousand free eye glasses, provision of water scheme and settlement of hospital bills, disbursement of soft loan scheme to traders at a zero interest rate, construction of roads for rural communities in Owerri west local government area from Ihiagwa to Eziobodo,Okolochi to Umuokpo,Okuku,Nekede mechanic village, installation of water scheme in new market and relief market in Owerri municipal local government area.   


Hon.Dan Ikpeazu is from Agbala a christian graduate of agricultural engineer and CEO of Dan Gottingen limited.

He was a former elected councilor and in 2011 he was elected to represent Owerri North in the Imo state house of assembly.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
