Imo APC to conduct local government and coucillorship primaries on Saturday


The Imo state All Progressive Congress have announced that it's anticipated local government chairmanship and ward councillorship primary election will hold on Saturday 16th of June 2018 at the various INEC wards in Imo state although campaign have commenced and the local government election is expected to hold on the 14th of July 2018 as announced by the Imo state electoral commission (ISEC).

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
